Nail Polish Collection - Reorganization Complete!

Hey guys!

So as I said in this post, I was completely out of space to store my ever expanding nail polish collection and the solution I came up with was Michael's version of the Ikea Helmer. I got 3 of those and stacked them on top of one another in the hopes that I would be able to fit ALL of my nail polish in them.

Remember, this is what I started out with:

Did it work? Was I able to fit all of that polish into 3 Melmers?

Floral Nail Art Series - He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not...

Hey guys!

So I completed my polish reorganization project and I'm VERY happy with the way it turned out! I'll post pictures soon. :)

In the meantime, here's another design for my floral series - daisies. But not just any daisies, I chose to add in the element of the childhood game where you would pick the petals off one by one while saying the phrase "He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not, etc..."
Has anyone else played this game before?

Nail Polish Collection - A Reorganizing Project (using Melmers!)

Hey guys!

This might be my only post of the day because I have a HUGE project ahead of me. See, my nail polish storage is to the point where all of the drawers I've been using are full and I'm completely out of space so I'm not able to expand and fit any more drawers. This means that I've had to re-think my whole storage space and try to come up with something that would fit everything that I already have but also leave extra room for expansion.
So, enter Melmers! Basically, for anyone who doesn't know, a Melmer is the 3-drawer equivalent of the Ikea Helmer (which I can't get because we don't have an Ikea where I live) and it's been nicknamed a Melmer simply because it's bought at Michael's.

I checked the Michael's flyer earlier this week and there were a few coupons for 40% off one item so I went down yesterday and although I only planned on getting 1 Melmer, I left with 2 because they were pretty cheap. However, once I got home and starting counting my polishes, I shamefully realized that 2 Melmers just aren't going to cut it so I had to go down and get 1 more today.

So now I've got quite a project ahead of me!

Review - OPI Avojuice Skin Quenchers

Hey guys!

You all know by now that I use Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream to keep my cuticles healthy and moisturized, but up until now, I didn't have a favourite hand moisturizer. In fact, I wasn't really using a hand moisturizer at all (gasp!).

However, I don't know why but lately when I've been in class (maybe the air at my school is drier or something), my hands have started to feel very chalky. I really don't like that feeling so I recently went on a hunt for a good hand moisturizer, and the first one I tried was the OPI Avojuice Skin Quenchers. And not to spoil the surprise, but I won't have to continue on this hunt anymore because I found the treasure!

Nail Art Tutorial - Patchwork

Hey guys!

After I posted my patchwork mani a few days ago, I received more than a few requests to do a corresponding tutorial. Since I'm still not comfortable with video tutorials, I decided that I would attempt to create a photo tutorial and that hopefully that would suffice for now. I think it turned out ok and I hope that I explained everything clearly.

If you guys find this tutorial helpful, please let me know in the comments as this is something that I can be doing on a regular basis, but I definitely need to know if this is something you all want. Additionally, if there are any of my older nail art designs that you'd like to see a tutorial for, please let me know which one(s) in the comments.

Temptalia is looking for contributors!

Hey guys!

Just a quick post today to let you all know (if you don't already) that Temptalia is looking for people to contribute to the Temptalia community! This could definitely be an excellent opportunity for whomever gets chosen and I hope that some of you will think about applying. I check Temptalia more than once a day and I think it'll be great to see some extra contributors.

~~I'm thinking about applying myself but still haven't fully decided. It would definitely be awesome to see my name on one the best known beauty sites on the web though!~~
Never mind, according to a recent comment, Temptalia is not currently looking for experts in nail care. Guess I'll be anxiously waiting for the day when she's looking for contributions from nail technicians! In the meantime, I really hope some of you will apply in the area of your interest.

Applications are being accepted until June 15th so you've got a while to think about it.

Patchwork Nail Art

Hey guys!

I'm pretty exhausted after the tough week of school I just had so when I sat down to do my nails tonight, I knew I wanted a quick design.
I didn't have any type of designs in mind so I started to browse through my "Inspirations" folder which is where I save images that give me inspiration for some of my nail art. I quickly came across an image I saved quite a while ago of a cartoon duck with a patchwork design all over his body and I thought that that would definitely be a simple design to execute so voila! Patchwork nails!
