Review & Swatches - Models Own Mirrorball Collection

Hey guys!

One of my Christmas gifts from my fiance was the Models Own Mirrorball Collection! These are my first Models Own polishes and I've got to say, I definitely don't think they'll be my last.

Keep reading for the swatches and review!

Boogie Nights consists of magenta, blue and purple glitters in both hexagonal and shard varieties. I've shown it here layered over Orly Lollipop. I used two coats and then a bit of additional placing to fill in some gaps. Love this combination, and I know this would work over many other shades as well.

Dancing Queen has green, gold, light and dark blue glitters and they come in hexes, shards and diamonds. My underwear choice for this was was OPI Thanks a Windmillion. Again, this is two coats and a little bit of additional placing. Love this combination as well! And I really want to try this one over a dark green like OPI Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow.

Disco Inferno is a mix of gold, green and copper hexagonal and shredded glitters. This is one of two of the shades that has a lot of smaller hex glitters, which makes it so that it only requires one coat as opposed to the two coats that I used with the others. I've shown it layered over Essence Destination Sunshine. At first glance I thought this would be my least favourite, but I actually really love it.

Freak Out! consists of magenta, light and dark blue glitters in hexagonal, shard and bar varieties. I've shown it layered over China Glaze Hanging in the Balance, which I think makes a super combination, although it did freak my camera out. Haha, see what I did there? I like to think I'm clever.

Hot Stuff has red, pink, gold and holo glitter and they come in hexes, squares, shards and diamonds. This one is shown over Zoya Shelby and since this was the other shade with the small hex glitters, I did only need one coat to get the glitter coverage you see below. What can I say, I love this one too!

The formula was basically the same for all of these, which is why I didn't mention it separately for each shade. Some of the glitter wanted to clump together, so I did have to do a little pushing around with the brush to get it to lay where I wanted it to, but that doesn't bother me too much, especially when the results are this pretty.

Overall, I'm pretty much in love with this collection. I can't pick favourites or least favourites because I really like each and everyone one.

Also, can we just take a moment to talk about how cute it is that the bottle caps match the colour of the dominant glitters in each shade? I think that little touch is just pure awesome.

The Models Own Mirrorball Collection is available on Harlow & Co. as well as Ninja Polish and they cost $8 each. Both shops seem to be out of stock of a few of the colours at the moment, though.

Did you notice a smell with these? I've heard that they have a strong one.

I like Disco Inferno, but the rest seem as if they consist of bigger glitters, which I don't like too much.
