Review & Swatches - OPI Femme de Cirque Collection

Hey guys!

Today I have the second of the Spring 2011 Collections by OPI called Femme de Cirque. This is the SoftShades Collection so all 4 of the shades are light and delicate.

Keep reading to see swatches and read the review!

I Juggle...Men, Step Right Up!, In The Spot-Light Pink, So Many Clowns...So Little Time

So Many Clowns...So Little Time (sheer light nude)
This is a very sheer nude colour that I think would work perfectly for a french manicure because it's sheer enough that it wouldn't cover the white tip but it would just provide a nice wash of nude all over the nail. You can also build the colour up to make it more opaque (as I did in my swatch - it's 4 coats). The formula was very good with this colour, it felt very jelly-like and it glided on beautifully.

In The Spot-Light Pink (sheer light pink)
As with So Many Clowns...So Little Time, I think this one would be great for french manicures except this one would work better for those who prefer the look of a pink hued nail as opposed to a nude one. Again, it's sheer enough that it won't overpower a white tip but it can also be built up so that it can be worn alone. In my swatch I used 4 coats and the formula was exactly the same as So Many Clowns...So Little Time.

Step Right Up! (milky light pink)
This one is a little more opaque and creamier feeling than the above two colours. It's still very sheer but like the others it can be built up (my swatch is 3 coats). The formula was a little thicker than the others but it wasn't difficult to work with.

I Juggle...Men (iridescent glitter top coat)
This is the star of the collection that I have been hearing about, and I can definitely see why. The fine glitter flashes blue, pink and purple and it adds a really beautiful shimmer to the other colours from the collection. For a more subtle look you could add just 1 coat of this over another polish but you can also build this up to add a really nice amount of glitter to another polish. Below I have swatches of this on its own as well as over the other colours from this collection. For the swatch of this alone, it is 4 coats and over the other colours it is 2 coats.

And here's I Juggle...Men in action:

Overall, I can't say that I'm head over heels for this collection but that's only because I tend to lean more towards brighter colours than softer ones. However, for those of you that prefer these types of colours, the formula on all of these was excellent and I do love the addition of I Juggle...Men so that you have the option of adding that little extra something. As I said above, a couple of these colours would also work really well for french manicures, either for those who like a nude nail with the french tip of for those who like a pink nail with the french tip. I know that I'll definitely be putting these in my kit for doing french manicures on clients!

What do you guys think? Will you be picking up any of these shades?

I LOVE soft shades, but I don't like how sheer they can be sometimes. I'm definitely getting all four though! I really need to try brighter and darker colors now haha
